The other night I had the blessing of watching my little nephew baby matthew! He had a slumber party over at his favorite aunts house! ME! This was the first time that i had him overnight by myself! scary! I didnt get much sleep, and when I did, I slept with one eye open! In the morning (bright and early!) I fed him, and then it was bath time! woohoo! And then church time, which was the easy part, because my parents are in our ward and so they took over from there! All in all, it was a good experience, but I do have to say that I give props to all the moms out there with a child or mulitple children! I guess unless you have kids of your own, you never really understand all the work that's put into it!

***Black Friday***
Everyone refers to diamonds as a girls best friend, at this point I have to disagree! Black Friday has got to be better than Christmas itself! Sales galore! Signs everywhere read 25%-50% off! BUY ONE GET ONE FREE! HALF OFF Storewide! What more can a person ask for. Being in the christmas rush, fighting over the last item with a 70 yr old lady, being elbowed by people that are desperate for what you have in your cart. These certain individuals have prepared for this day for the past year. Living and breathing for the friday after Thanksgiving. Coming up with strategies and contemplating on how they can get to all the best sales of the day! Spending endless hours in lines that have been forming since the morning of Thanksgiving! One could possibly question where the fun would be in all the long lines, and waiting for something that feels like it's never going to come, i'll answer that for any of you non-believers out there. All it takes is two words "Great Deals" knowing that you only paid $15 for that sweater that would have cost you $50 the day before. Stretching that $100 budget (Adria) that your husband so sweetly put you on right before you left the house that morning. Thats what us women live for! Getting the most for our money! So why question, unless you experience it first hand you will never truly undertand the meaning of "Black Friday"! When the day is done and all the shopping has been completed, we sit and ponder about the many things that we had anticipated for. I couldnt imagine not taking advantage of those priceless 24hours. Luckily for Nate, all the mayhem didnt steer me away from reality, something we like to call, being financially wise. The total amount of all my purchased items for that day came to a total of $30! wow, anyone that has gone shopping along side of me knows that that took some serious strength! Dont worry, my christmas shopping has yet to start! Let the fun begin!

Cinnamon Rolls anyone?!
OK here it is! I baked my very first batch of cinnamon rolls!! Woohoo, they were actually edible too! And it is all special thanks to Adria. The day before Thanksgiving when I was convienently on my way to the store to take the easy route and buy a couple of goodies that I was assigned to bring to Thanksgiving, Adria calls and asks if i would like to come over to bake cinnamon rolls! With nothing but doubt in my mind, I went over there to "attempt" to cook, something that I havent tried to master in all my 21 yrs! After three long hours of rolling dough and preparing the drizzle, our work was done and we were both pleasantly surprised at our results! Good thing the husbands were there when we were finished or they probably would have never believed that we made them from scratch! At the end of the day, I do have to say that I am pretty proud of the work we did! They were a hit over at the in-laws, and Nate has leftovers to put in his lunch for the next week! Hopefully, this was only the beginning to my many dishes to come! I'll post more throughout the week as I get braver, and start to use my kitchen a little more!

Just Moved In!
We just moved in to our new house about a month ago! And I can honestly say that I will NEVER move again! :) I was sick the day that we moved so it wasnt the best experience! Good thing we had a bunch of great friends and family (oh, cant forget the amazing husband!) to help out, or else we would probably still be moving boxes from one house to the other! It was worth it! Our new ward/neighborhood has been so welcoming and has been awesome setting us into a smooth transition! I guess having my parents and two cousins in the ward helps! It was sad to leave our old house, as it was our first home together but we are excited for the new change!! I do have to say that my favorite part of the house is the kitchen, and anyone that knows me is probably laughing in disbelief, thinking that I could ever be excited about a deep sink and double ovens! But yes you heard me right, I LOVE my kitchen! Over the past couple of weeks I have putting my "cooking skills" into play. Shocking as it may sound, im not half bad! Atleast thats what my husband says! Hopefully in the near future you will be seeing some of my new "famous dishes"!

Back To The D.R!!
Our trip to the Dominican Republic was awesome! We went for our anniversary back in February, and had such a blast! Probably the most humbling experience ever, really makes you appreciate what you have here in the US! Fortunately, we are able to still keep a weekly contact with all of our friends there! Hopefully they can come visit us soon!
